The compromised data includes names, surnames, genders, postal and email addresses, dates and places of birth, telephone numbers, and license-related information. The federation states that it has taken steps to strengthen the security of its systems and assures that the attack is now over.

Complaint announced and alert for vigilance

The French Athletics Federation has contacted the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties (CNIL) and plans to file a complaint in the coming days. It urges its members to be vigilant against any potential fraud or phishing attempts exploiting the compromised data.

The organization, which has many members in mainland France and overseas, did not specify the origin of the attack or the exact number of people involved.
