It's a small revolution in the world of video games. Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios have just announced that Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft's flagship license, will arrive on its competitor, PlayStation 5, in spring 2025. Old and new drivers will soon be able to discover nearly 900 cars, more than 40 thematic updates, two expansions, the magnificent roads of Mexico and the Horizon Festival on PlayStation 5. Crossplay will be available for all owners of Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox consoles, PC and PlayStation 5.
At the same time, pilots – all platforms combined – will be able to benefit from Horizon Realms, a new free content update coming soon that will allow players to explore some of the community's favorite evolving worlds Forza Horizon 5, and much more. Full details will be announced later.
Players can already add Forza Horizon 5 to their wishlist on PlayStation 5. The game is also available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Steam, and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.
This decision by Microsoft marks a change in strategy on the part of the American publisher. Distanced in console sales compared to Sony or Nintendo, Microsoft now wants to position itself strongly as a games publisher, even if it means offering its licenses to the competition...
