From March 31 to April 6, 2025, the European Days of Crafts (JEMA) return for a 19th edition under the theme "Traits d'union". This annual event highlights artisans and their central role in the transmission of know-how, while emphasizing their roots in heritage and innovation. With more than 7 events organized across France and Europe, these days are a unique opportunity to discover exceptional crafts and better understand the importance of their preservation.
In Paris and the Île-de-France region, more than 500 free events are scheduled, including unique encounters with artisans from the Louvre Museum and the Tuileries Gardens. From April 1 to 6, the public will be able to visit the workshops where framers, gilders, carpenters, upholsterers and marble workers work, and observe their contribution to the preservation of the treasures of the national heritage. Guided tours of the gardens will also highlight artistic gardeners and their traditional techniques adapted to current ecological challenges.
Beyond the capital, the JEMA will take over emblematic places such as the Château de Fontainebleau, which will offer craft demonstrations on April 5, or the Air and Space Museum, where the art of fans will be in the spotlight on April 6. All over France, factories, training centers and craft workshops will open their doors to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of artistic crafts.
The 2025 edition aims to be a real bridge between tradition and modernity, highlighting artisans whose work shapes the identity of the territories while integrating innovative practices. These days are also an invitation to promote crafts as an economic and tourist lever, while encouraging the transmission of know-how to new generations.
