Spirou Park opens its Naruto universe: a unique immersion in manga in Europe

The Spirou Provence theme park, located near Avignon, has inaugurated a new area entirely dedicated to manga. Narutomarking a first in Europe. Dubbed "Konoha Land", this immersive zone aims to attract a wider audience by leveraging the global popularity of the famous ninja created by Masashi Kishimoto.

Inaugurated in early April 2026, this 1,5-hectare space immerses visitors in a faithful reproduction of the village of Konoha, with its iconic settings such as the Hokage's mountain and the village chief's office. The designers' stated objective is to offer complete immersion in the world of the manga, down to the sound and culinary details.

Two major attractions have been added to this new area. The first, "Kyubi Unchained," is a thrilling roller coaster, while the second, "Rasengan Chakra Rotation," is geared more towards families with a rotating ride inspired by the hero's techniques. Life-size statues of the main characters complete the experience.

This initiative illustrates the rise of manga in France, which has become a pillar of the comic book market. The park, historically focused on Franco-Belgian heroes like Spirou or the Marsupilami, is thus seeking to reinvent itself and attract a new generation of visitors familiar with Japanese culture.

With an estimated investment of several million euros, "Konoha Land" is part of a broader strategy to modernize the park's offerings and strengthen its appeal in the face of competition. This opening also reflects the growing influence of Japanese pop culture on leisure activities in Europe, now even integrated into amusement parks.
