The series "Murders in…" reaches a symbolic milestone by celebrating its 100th episode in a brand new setting: Fort Boyard. This is the first time the France Télévisions crime drama has filmed at this iconic location on French television since the launch of the game show of the same name in July 1990. This military fortress in Charente-Maritime, popularized by the program created by Jacques Antoine, Jean-Pierre Mitrecey, and Pierre Launais, will therefore host a brand new crime story.

A television landmark since 1990

The choice of this maritime setting is not insignificant for marking this anniversary. For over three decades, Fort Boyard has attracted millions of viewers in France and around the world, with more than 2,000 episodes broadcast across all international adaptations. The monument, owned by the French state, has thus become an instantly recognizable television icon, making it a perfect backdrop for a special television film.

A first for the police series

This collaboration between two icons of French television illustrates France Télévisions' ability to reinvent its concepts. The "Murders in…" series has already explored numerous French regions and locations, but had never before dared to use a place so closely associated with another program. The episode should take advantage of the fort's unique architecture and mysterious atmosphere to build its murder mystery.
