“I miss playing Gaby! I miss Wisteria Lane. It’s one of my best experiences.” These are the words full of nostalgia spoken by Eva Longoria at the Cannes Film Festival.
Interviewed by Canal+, Eva Longoria shared good news for fans of the cult series created in 2004. That year, M6 viewers discovered Desperate Housewives, delving into the lives of Lynette, Bree and Susan, housewives in their forties. This series revolutionized the small screen with its themes and its casting, far from the classic roles of young heroines.
Gabrielle Solis, played by Eva Longoria, played a former model idle in her residential suburb. Her character quickly evolved, superficiality giving way to deeper issues, such as the difficulties of her marriage, her husband's temporary blindness and her complicated motherhood. The last season also addressed the rape she suffered during her adolescence.
“This year, we celebrate 20 years of Desperate Housewives. So, we will have a special reunion,” announced Eva Longoria in a video posted this Monday, May 20 on Canal+ social networks. Without revealing too many details, she clarified that it will “not be a spin-off”.
