During a grandiose ceremony of the 11th edition of CAEL AWARDS, broadcast live on television in the United Arab Emirates, the pianist and composer of Lebanese origin Omar Harfouch received the creation prize for his composition for Piano and Orchestra for peace .
In the presence of many famous Arab personalities such as singers Ramy Ayyash and Ramy Sabry, actor Jamal Suleiman, journalist Puci Shalaby, singer Marwan Khoury, actress Abeer Sabry, Pamela Al-Kik and journalist Mustafa Al- Agha. As well as some participants in the series Dubai Bling on Netflix.
Awards were also received by former MP Dima Jamali and journalist Tony Khalifa.
Harfouche performed his famous play for peace and the play Tripoli, which he dedicated to the people of Tripoli, his hometown in Lebanon.
Harfouch is currently on a world piano tour for Peace, which began at the European Commission in Brussels, via the Arab World Institute in Paris, and will continue in different countries and will end in September 2024, during a concert at the UN to celebrate the International Day of Peace, he will perform at the Municipal Theater of Béziers with the Orchester Philharmonique Méditerranée under the direction of conductor Mathieu Bonnin and alongside the famous French violinist Anne Gravoin, on March 6 2024.
