The guard attempts a handshake
While his team had been constantly provoking Les Bleus throughout the match, the Paraguayan goalkeeper approached the French striker to shake his hand. Mbappé, however, continued walking without responding to the gesture.
After being ignored, the Paraguayan goalkeeper reacted by sending the ball towards Mbappé. Despite receiving the ball, Mbappé didn't fall for the trick and didn't react. He continued forward, without turning towards the goalkeeper or engaging in the exchange. The French striker avoided any escalation after a match already marked by numerous tensions.
