Last night, Colombia defeated DR Congo 1-0 in Group K of the World Cup. The only goal of the match was scored by Daniel Muñoz in the 76th minute, inside the penalty area, after a pass from Juan Fernando Quintero. This victory gives Colombia their second win in two matches and secures their place in the round of 32.

The match was largely stifled by the Congolese defense and Lionel Mpasi, who made several crucial saves for DR Congo. Colombia dominated possession, creating numerous chances but were thwarted by the Congolese goalkeeper until the final quarter of an hour. The scoreline remained close despite constant Colombian pressure. For DR Congo, this defeat significantly complicates their chances of advancing in the tournament. The Leopards remain winless after two matches.

Panama-Croatia: Budimir enters and scores

Croatia, meanwhile, defeated Panama 1-0 in Group L. Ante Budimir, who came on at halftime, scored the decisive goal in the 53rd minute, assisted after a well-constructed move down the right flank with Josip Stanišić. This victory gives Croatia their first three points in this World Cup.

Panama resisted, but failed to capitalize on their periods of dominance. The Panamanian team had chances, particularly in the second half, but Dominik Livaković preserved Croatia's lead.

This defeat eliminates Panama, who remain without a point after two matches. Croatia, meanwhile, remains in contention for qualification. The match also marked Luka Modrić's 200th cap for Croatia, celebrated with a narrow but crucial victory.
