Not a revenge against the critics
When asked about the criticism he has received, Mbappé dismissed the idea of personal revenge. For him, his brace was not about silencing anyone. "There's no such thing as revenge. If I start playing for all the people who criticize me and trying to silence them, I'd have to play until I'm 80. I play to make history for my country and to help my team reach the final and win the World Cup. The rest will always be part of who I am and my career as a player."
