Paraguayan racist senator Celeste Amarilla mocks the elimination of the French national team and Mbappé

France's defeat against Spain (2-0), in the semi-final of the 2026 World Cup, prompted a new statement from Paraguayan racist senator Celeste Amarilla. Already at the heart of a heated controversy After her racist remarks targeting Kylian Mbappé following the round of 16 match between France and Paraguay, the senator multiplied her posts on X to celebrate the elimination of Les Bleus and to ridicule the French team.

"Spain 2 France 0" and several mocking messages

Shortly after the final whistle, Celeste Amarilla shared a very brief first message: "Spain 2 France 0." She then republished several posts directly targeting the French national team. One of them stated: "In the history books of football, it will remain that Senator Celeste Amarilla psychologically destroyed the French national team and the entire French people."

Another message shared on his account read: "France has lost, goodbye Mbappé."

Finally, one last post made light of the date of France's elimination, which occurred on July 14th: "Goodbye France, and a July 14th... liberty, equality, fraternity... eliminated."

A new release after several days of tension

These publications prolong a media clash that began after France's victory against Paraguay in the round of 16. At the time, Celeste Amarilla published racist remarks targeting Kylian Mbappé, prompting condemnation from the French Football Federation, the opening of an investigation by the Paris prosecutor's office, and an official reaction from the Paraguayan authorities, who distanced themselves from the senator's statements. Kylian Mbappé had replied to him publicly by describing her as "a despicable woman, unworthy of her position"believing that she did not represent the Paraguayan people.

A controversy that continues after the French national team's exit

France's elimination did not put an end to this affair. New messages published and shared by Celeste Amarilla show that the senator continues to fuel the controversy, this time directly targeting the entire French national team and publicly celebrating their elimination just shy of the World Cup final. It's worth reminding her that Paraguay has never won the World Cup, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon!
