Haiti defeated but not defeated
Haiti, participating in its first World Cup since 1974, put up a good fight and created a few chances, particularly late in the game, but couldn't find an equalizer. Brazil held to a draw by Morocco
In the other Group C match, Brazil and Morocco played to a draw. 1 - 1This result provisionally gives Scotland the advantage in the group, thanks to their victory against Haiti.
Group D has already launched
In Group D, the United States also made a successful start, defeating Paraguay 4-1. After this first round of matches, the Americans and the Australians both have three points. Paraguay and Turkey will need to bounce back in their second game.
