Israeli producer Dana Eden, known for creating the hit international series TehranShe was found dead on Sunday in a hotel in central Athens. The 52-year-old was in Greece to oversee filming for the fourth season of the Apple TV+ show. Her unexplained absence led a relative to alert the authorities, who discovered her body in her room near Syntagma Square.

Initial findings suggest suicide. According to Greek police, evidence found at the scene (including marks on the neck and the presence of medication) supports this hypothesis. A judicial inquiry has nevertheless been launched to rule out any other possibilities and to determine the exact circumstances of the death.

In a statement, Dana and Shula Productions, the company she ran with Shula Spiegel, expressed its "deep sadness" and urged people not to spread unfounded speculation. On social media, some rumors suggested a politically motivated crime, which was quickly denied by the producer's professional circle, who called the allegations "baseless."
