Embroidered stories from Peru take over the Parisian gallery Art+Art

An exhibition dedicated to Andean textile traditions will open on May 20 in Paris under the title "The Voices of Thread, Embroidered Stories of Peru". Conceived by curator Susana Navarro Hospinal, this presentation will highlight the art of embroidery practiced in Huancayo, in the central Peruvian Andes, through a selection of works rarely shown in France.

Located at the Art+Art gallery in Paris's 11th arrondissement, the exhibition will offer the public an immersive experience in a heritage of craftsmanship that blends collective memory, spiritual symbols, and folk tales. The exhibited creations bear witness to a know-how passed down through generations within Andean communities.

An exhibition supported by the Embassy of Peru

The project is organized as part of Latin America and Caribbean Week, with the support of the Peruvian Embassy in France. The opening is scheduled for May 20 at 18 p.m., and the exhibition will remain open until June 7.

Through this event, Susana Navarro Hospinal aims to introduce Parisian audiences to an artistic expression that is still relatively unrepresented in European cultural institutions. The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 15 pm to 20 pm.
