This weekend, a terrible tragedy occurred in the heart of Paris: Elias, a 14-year-old teenager, was fatally stabbed as he left his football training in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, during an attempt to steal his mobile phone. The two suspects, aged 16 and 17, were arrested and taken into police custody.
One of them admitted to stabbing him, but denied any criminal intent. They were charged and placed in pre-trial detention on Monday..
Elias was a member of the Jeunesse Sportive et Culturelle Pitray-Olier club, which expressed its deep sorrow following this tragedy. A support unit has been set up to accompany the U15 players and their families.
